Watertown Human Rights Commission referred a resident's ICE flight webcam request to subcommittee, approving its minutes 6-0. Resident Carol B. Wenner said volunteer trackers documented 114 ICE flights from Hanscom Field since October 7, 2025, moving an estimated 2,221 to 4,310 detainees, and that at least nine Watertown residents have been detained by ICE in the past year; she asked commissioners to back a resolution pushing Massport for public webcams "so that lawyers can identify their clients and families can identify and locate their loved ones." City Council Vice Chair Vinnie pledged council help amplifying the commission's immigrant-protection messaging. Police Captain Unsworth outlined new limits on sharing custody information with federal immigration agents under the state's Protect Act, effective September 4.
Commissioners tabled a co-sponsorship request from the Helen Robinson Wright Fund's $10,000 fundraiser.
