Watertown Zoning Board approved two special permits unanimously. Acting Chair Christopher H. Heep led the hybrid May 27 meeting, which approved a dormer addition at 67 Capitol Street designed for aging-in-place and authorized a two-family conversion at 235 Mount Auburn Street Lot A with conditions addressing neighbor concerns including tree preservation, waste screening, and cohesive fencing.
Both permits passed 5-0. Public comment raised concerns about privacy on adjacent Lot B and tree stability. The board postponed voting on updated Rules of Practice and Procedure pending Chair Melissa M.
