WATERTOWN — The Affordable Housing Trust voted 7-0 to seek $530,000 from the CPC for a pre-development reserve fund. Staff member Will Downie outlined the proposal to help developers secure properties and conduct feasibility work; Trustee Zoe Weinrobe noted it could launch multiple projects and strengthen the Trust's CPC relationship. During public comment, resident Dennis J.
Duff questioned using taxpayer-funded CPA money and asked why the City could not allow larger development in the West End or engage the Housing Authority. Trustees clarified the AHT would not be the developer and noted housing authorities focus on ownership and management.
