Traffic Commission · Meeting of June 24, 2026
Watertown Traffic Commission voted unanimously to advance a 25 mph citywide speed limit study, with work to be conducted by consultants under direction of City management and subject to City Council approval. The Commission approved parking restrictions on Whites Avenue (23 feet north of Summer Street) and Irving Street (North Beacon to 100 feet south), both unanimously. Denying requests to prohibit parking near Pierce Road and Belmont Street, the Commission instead authorized enforcement letters to Village Condominium and increased patrol.
The Commission also voted to continue planning with the Department of Conservation and Recreation on Watertown Greenway and Cottage Street safety improvements.
