Human Rights Commission identified eight priority community-engagement topic areas.
Human Rights Commission · Meeting of October 5, 2026
WATERTOWN — Human Rights Commission identified eight priority community-engagement topic areas. The Watertown HRC, in a remote October 5 meeting attended by Gabriel Camacho, Elizabeth Brusie, Susan Musinsky, and Liz Aeschlimann, received a draft community needs list from staff liaison Jenna Bancroft and identified eight priority topics: Housing, Food Access, Immigrant Rights, LGBTQIA+ Rights, Disability Rights, Education, Cultural Engagement, and Resources and Financial Needs. The commission discussed assigning liaisons from its membership to each topic area, with Bancroft covering Resources and Financial Needs as Human Services Director.
Liaisons will research their topic areas, build community partnerships, and bring community perspectives back to the commission. Committee members will submit feedback on the proposed liaison role description before the October 19 meeting.
