WATERTOWN — Committee on Rules and Ordinances voted unanimously to recommend amended City Council Rules to the full Council. The Committee modified eight rule sections on debate, information requests, ordinances, and appointments. Rule 7.9 requires Council President and City Attorney to report on executive session minute reviews.

Rule 7.10 was modified to remove "and questions" and require responses be emailed to all Council members. New Rule 7.11 establishes a 14-day deadline for posting Committee referrals. Rule 5.2 limits discussion to the current agenda item, in compliance with the Open Meeting Law.
