Commission on Disability · Meeting of March 18, 2026
Watertown Commission on Disability proposed establishing a Safety and Access Sub-Committee to systematically track and address accessibility complaints. Chair Kim Charlson spearheaded the proposal after identifying gaps in the current process for handling sidewalk obstructions and automatic door problems, the two most frequently reported issues. Four members volunteered to participate: Charlson, Megan O'Halloran, Naomi Ridge, and Lisa.
Treasurer Jay Terminiello reported the commission has $118,770 in available funds and is exploring a partnership with Perkins to create braille and audio versions of the Watertown Visitors Guide. The commission voted unanimously to accept December and February meeting minutes.
