Commission on Disability · Meeting of July 15, 2026
WATERTOWN — Commission on Disability advanced planning for outdoor recreation programs for people with disabilities. The commission directed staff members Tyler Cote and Lauren Hegarty-Tattrie from the Recreation Department to develop a proposal with All Out Adventures, which offers cycling, paddling, skiing, and other adapted programs; a funding vote was scheduled for August 19. Chair Kim Charlson welcomed new ADA Coordinator Stephanie Venizelos, a city employee with 10 years of disability-access experience, and the commission unanimously approved the June minutes and a Treasurer's Report showing $176,036.39 in the account.
Commission member Rachel Kay reported the Schools Director of Student Services resigned effective end of summer, prompting Charlson to request a school official address the commission in October or November.
