Historical Commission Preliminary Review · Meeting of February 9, 2026
WATERTOWN — The Historical Commission cleared two demolition applications and held a third pending a full public hearing at its preliminary review meeting. Chair Elise Loukas and Commission Member Andrew Thompson determined that 214 Palfrey Street and 28 Whitney Street lack historical significance under the Demolition Delay Ordinance and may proceed. However, 85 Boyd Street was deemed historically significant and requires a full public hearing before demolition approval.
A fourth application for 108 Water Street was continued to the next preliminary review meeting.
