BioSafety Committee · Meeting of April 9, 2026

WATERTOWN — The BioSafety Committee voted 4-0 to recommend approval of a permit application for LabShare, a shared biotechnology facility at 66 Galen Street. Chair Brad Parsons commended the company's commitment, as LabShare plans to open 10,000 square feet in May 2026 and expand to 48,000 square feet by November 2026. The recommendation advances to the Board of Health contingent on an updated list of agents, materials, and cell lines.

Committee discussion centered on bio-waste generation and the adequacy of safety equipment. The committee also reviewed a relocation amendment for Corner Therapeutics to 99 Coolidge Avenue in July, which does not require Board of Health approval.
