Watertown's Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee subcommittee gathered to plan educational materials for summer events.
Bike & Pedestrian Committee · Meeting of July 28, 2026
Watertown's Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee subcommittee gathered to plan educational materials for summer events. Jamie Burke, chair, and Eileen Botti, a committee member, met with collaborator Michelle Moon to review the current state of the committee's printed resources and identify priorities for new materials, including bike and pedestrian safety education, how-to guides, shared-path etiquette, e-bike safety, and reporting instructions. The group outlined four pilot materials for Faire on the Square: an interactive biking-distance map marker, a laminated four-foot passing sign, a bike-types illustration, and a resource list.
The subcommittee committed to contacting MassBike and WalkMass about sharing existing educational materials, and planned to reconvene at month's end to discuss progress.
