Watertown Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of April 21, 2026

WATERTOWN — The Watertown Affordable Housing Trust unanimously approved $219,035 in federal HOME program funds for capital improvements at 1060 Belmont Street, an 18-unit property serving low-income families. The funds comprise the city's FY26 allocation of $112,035 and FY27 allocation of $107,000 and will address site drainage and replace exterior stairs; Metro West Community Development will fund remaining costs from property reserves. The approval requires amendment of the city's Annual Action Plans, including a public hearing in early May or June and a 30-day comment period for HUD review.

The Trust separately adopted its Housing Plan 2026-2030, which includes review of inclusionary zoning policy and creation of a Community Preservation reserve fund for site opportunities.
